Job Description

Ubisoft is currently seeking a full-time Associate Director to supervise Ubisoft’s Global Publishing Global & Local Brand Content activities.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Social Media & Brand Content , this position will manage an internal team composed of a Senior Manager, Brand Content & Marketing , a Brand Content Assistant & a freelance Production Coordinator .

The Associate Director, Brand Content is responsible for the overall success of our Brand Content efforts regrouped under the gTV brand, both on a global & local level (currently in France, Germany, UK & Australia)

The position will ideally be based in Ubisoft Headquarters in Paris and will require frequent travels to the relevant Production studios and other locations across the world.

Key missions will be as follows:

Create a Series of Behind-The-Scenes gTV Global Documentaries

- Identify the right internal games in development & contact production teams to create compelling non-promotional short & long documentaries showcasing what it takes to create Ubisoft worlds, & the human talents & adventures behind the games, while enriching communication campaigns around Ubisoft’s major releases

- Identify & implement co-production frameworks with internal and external partners & video-platforms

- Drive & coordinate a team of external freelance journalists, video-editors, motion designers & community managers, all part of our external creative partner

- Identify key internal stakeholders, and onboard them from initial briefs through until final validation, ensuring visibility throughout and managing expectations

- Oversee and coordinate 360 communications plans for documentary launches, within the context of pre-existing brand comms plans, onboarding and involving all relevant communications teams internally and maximizing communications opportunities externally

Coordinate Local Brand Content Creation

- Coordinate creation of local Brand Content, by empowering local Ubisoft teams within Global publishing Engagement Hubs to create let’s plays, talk-shows & entertaining Brand Content videos, internally &/or with freelance Content Creators

- Encourage best-practices, assets- & concept-sharing between local teams, to generate economies of scale for locally created gTV Brand Content. This includes sharing learnings, both between local teams and with additional teams at Ubisoft (Social Media, CRM, Comms, etc.)

- Ensure local Brand Content enriches major marketing pulse-points, while keeping an authentic & credible editorial voice

Manage Budget & ROI

- Drive Overall Global + Local Brand Content budget, by allocating budgets to the different global & local Brand Content Videos, enabling our global creative partner as well as local Engagement Hubs’ teams to create compelling, entertaining & authentic gTV Brand Content videos

- Communicate constantly with Global Communications, Global Publishing Marketing & Production Teams, to ensure gTV Brand Content enriches overall communication efforts around Ubisoft’s new releases & back-catalogue

- Calculate & keep a constant eye on ROI of gTV Brand Content, by measuring organic viewership (Cost Per view, Cost Per Minute Watched) to make the right editorial choices & further develop our gTV editorial strategy

- Strengthen revenue-generating opportunities, such as co-production with external video-platforms, ad-revenues on Connected TVs & inclusion of gTV Brand Content within Ubisoft’s subscription offers

Evangelize internally on the strength of Brand Content within an authentic & credible overall communication strategy

- Regularly present results, learnings & new opportunities to Top Management & Global Publishing teams

- Help & train Engagement Hubs’ local teams in becoming internal content creating teams to bring a locally relevant & credible editorial voice

- Create synergies with other existing Brand Content internal initiatives to strengthen best-practice & assets-sharing, in order to drive economies of scale, including sharing learnings with teams across the company

- Keep Global Publishing teams informed on ongoing video-creations, to ensure promotion of Brand Content through owned Operational Marketing Channels (e.g. CRM, Web, Social Media…)

Qualifications

- Senior experience in Brand Content/Journalism/Video-creation and Project Management, including Team Management

- Previous experience in budget-management & video performance social metrics

- Knowledge of gaming, & personal consumption of video-content around gaming (Gaming sites, Content Creators, etc…). Knowledge of how a game is crafted within a Development Studio is a plus

- Keen eye for what makes gaming content entertaining

- Capacity to embody an ambitious project internally, & to adapt communication to different management levels

- Fluency in both English & French. German is a plus
