Associate Compliance QA Lead (Night Shift)

Rockstar Lincoln is looking for a capable project and people manager to join our nightshift team as an Associate Compliance QA Lead. This is a full-time permanent position based out of Rockstar’s unique game development studio in the heart of Lincoln.
WHAT WE DO
- Testing various genres of games, learning and analysing all elements of the title’s functionality – including gameplay, UI, hardware interaction and messaging.
- Checking title functionality against various manufacturer-specified guidelines, finding and reporting scenarios where these guidelines are not closely adhered to.
- Working closely with the development and production teams in identifying and prioritising issues for progression through the project life cycle.
- Liaising with other departments, providing advice, support and training as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To manage and lead teams of Compliance QA Testers, overseeing compliance testing on current and recent generation platforms whilst working to project deadlines.
- Assigning tasks and duties to the team, in line with ensuring our titles are compliant with the relevant 1st party documentation.
- Collaborate with development, production and other QA teams in coordinating test efforts, building strong working relationships and facilitating information flow.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of publisher guidelines and standards.
- Monitoring and supporting the team, maintaining engagement and performance.
- Contribute to studio and team building efforts including team training, development and recruiting.
- Maintaining an excellent knowledge of internal systems and processes and contributing towards the development of these.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience within a project/people management role, ideally within the games industry or software QA.
- An interest in video game compliance and a desire to remain up to date with the latest guidelines and technologies.
SKILLS
- Strong communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead a team towards a common goal.
- Self-motivating, pro-active and autonomous in nature.
- Ability to pick up new skills and technologies quickly and effectively.
- Able to liaise effectively with staff at all levels.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Passion for games (especially Rockstar Games titles).
PLUSES
Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.
- Knowledge and experience in QA, especially compliance testing, of online titles/applications on current or recent console platforms.
- Extensive and varied experience of project test cycles.
- Knowledge of the current generation of games consoles and the associated software and hardware.
- Degree level educated within video game development or a related discipline.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- This position is to work within our night shift. Shifts typically run from 6:30PM to 3AM.
