Associate Community Manager, Overwatch

Blizzard Entertainment is seeking an Associate Community Manager who is enthusiastic about the gaming industry, influencer outreach, player communities, communication, and social media. This role will strengthen relationships with North American content creators, community leaders, organizers, and advocates through outreach, ongoing programs, and collaborations. Additionally, this role will partner with internal teams and regional offices to execute against global content publishing campaigns.
The ideal candidate would have a passion for and knowledge of gaming communities, user generated content, streaming, and the world of social media. They would also have a proven track record of launching social media campaigns, and recruiting key community members as participants in events and activations to support the strategic objectives of a highly cross-functional organization.
Position Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and execution of community development programs
- Identify, build, and maintain relationships with North American content creators, community leaders, and advocates
- Propose and then execute content collaborations and partnerships
- Align with internal teams and stakeholders to integrate key community individuals into campaigns
- Curate and promote community content across multiple channels
- Interface with regional teams to support cross-regional campaigns and asset distribution
- Manage content publishing efforts across owned platforms
- Support Blizzard hosted events/summits
- Work closely with consumer marketing, Overwatch League, and Overwatch game development team
- Report and provide meaningful feedback on community sentiment, concerns, and suggestions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in sociology, communications, public relations, marketing, or related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in community relationship building, partnerships/collaborations, talent management, entertainment, events, or related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with channel management, publishing calendars, reporting & analytics
- Excellent communications skills
- Knowledge of Blizzard Entertainment games
- A passion for gaming and gaming communities
- Ability to meet deliverables amid a fast paced, high volume environment
- Able to travel, including international, and work late shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
