Associate Brand Manager

This is an excellent opportunity to join our Total War Brand team at our multi award-winning studio. Working closely with the rest of the Total War Brand Team, the Associate Brand Manager works in support of a Senior Brand Manager and will assist in the brand development and marketing execution of their assigned Total War products globally.
Owning and managing aspects of product development, marketing strategy, key asset delivery (including packaging, advertising and websites), the Associate Brand Manager is an enthusiastic product evangelist for the TW brand both externally and internally.
In addition to strong planning and project management skills, the role demands constant high-quality communication and relationship management with all teams within the studio and all levels of seniority within the larger publishing structure.
Though some level of previous product or brand experience is an advantage, this role would suit an applicant with strong organisation skills, a desire to forge a career in marketing and a passion for the industry.
Key Responsibilities
You will support the Senior Brand Manager in implementing the global brand marketing strategy for their assigned Total War titles, ensuring deadlines are achieved and input and approvals are gained from all stakeholders as required. You will also manage the development, research, ownership and implementation of the global brand marketing strategies for specific Total War title, where relevant on assigned products.
As an Associate Brand Manager on the team, you will contribute to the scheduling and submission of materials to the relevant age rating bodies or other external approval holders as required. Will also contribute to and manage key 3rd party partnerships, ensuring directly profitable or co-promotional relationships are upheld and effective. A key element of the role is to ensure that any committed spend on assigned products is efficiently handled, maximized and the work produced to agreed budget and time scales.
You will communicate and work with internal teams and external creative agencies to project manage consumer marketing campaign elements. You will also schedule and achieve planned dates for all central brand marketing deliverables and ensure regular communication of planned dates to territory teams as well as key internal stakeholders.
Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with members of relevant teams is crucial to the success of this role. This is essential to gain buy in, input and where relevant approval on strategies, activity and creative. You will responsible for developing close working relationships within the Brand Team, the Studio and teams within the larger SEGA corporate and local territory structure.
You will work closely with central product managers and the rest of CA Brand Management to understand global and local campaign timings and ensure that asset requirements are scheduled in good time so that art and development resource are adequately secured. You will also contribute to the smooth operation of the rest of the team and studio, proactively performing other marketing and communications tasks as required, playing a significant part in the success of the team in general.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
- A thorough appreciation of strategy games, and Creative Assembly titles, is an advantage
- Good project management and planning skills
- Previous involvement in brand/product launches
- A motivated self-starter with demonstrable experience of creative thinking, creative critique and good organisation
- Current and on-going knowledge of competitor products and campaigns within the industry
Desirable
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills
- Good verbal and presentation skills, to all sizes of audience
- Exceptional writing and reporting skills
- Willingness to travel when necessary and spend occasional days at SEGA’s Brentford HQ
