THE OPPORTUNITY

The Brand Manager will help develop marketing strategies and execute tactics for The Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons & Dragons Online on the marketing team at Standing Stone Games. S/he will serve as the point-person for developing, implementing and executing marketing initiatives and activities for the studio and its games. These initiatives and activities include campaigns (print, web, social media, broadcast, etc.), events, corporate responsibility programs and sponsorships.

Reporting to the Executive Producer, this position will be responsible for:

Assist in Creation and Execution of Marketing Plans

· Collaborate with the Daybreak Brand team and Standing Stone Games' Producers to develop integrated marketing plans through all phases of product development.

· Usher deliverables through all phases of product marketing including, but not limited to all planning & project timelines related to creative development, advertising, special events, and trade and consumer promotions.

· Work effectively with internal cross-functional teams including Community, Marketing, Operations, Production, and Web to ensure seamless integration and execution of our marketing campaigns.

Manage Creative Asset Development & Deployment

· Facilitate visual asset creation, logo, and copy treatment requests to deliver best in class creative executions for game promotions and content releases. This includes communication with internal and external teams to execute.

· Write product copy and creative briefs by ensuring that visual and written communications align with Brand identity and planned strategy.

· Organize and maintain Visual Asset directories and style guides for the brands to ensure expedition of deployment of advertising assets for all scheduled sales and promotion campaigns. This will include using a blend of propriety and commercially available tools.

Coordinate with External Partners

· Conduct day-to-day conversations with external marketing agencies, game distribution partners, and franchise partners on marketing initiatives.

Monitor Marketing Performance & Market Competitors

· Provide guidance and recommendations for support teams on what excites and delights our customers to optimize copy and/or assets in email, ad placement, & SEO campaigns.

· Monitor and review marketing campaign results to present learnings to senior marketing team.

· Oversee campaign budget management including the coordination of purchase orders and invoices.

What craft expertise you’ll have:

· Understanding of video game publishing and marketing content pipeline from concept to shipping final product.

· Experience with digital marketing across web, console, and social including working with online/digital marketplaces, supporting digital content strategies, supporting launches of supportive and standalone digital releases.

· Proven ability to take ownership of projects and tasks, taking initiative to set objectives and execute against established goals.

· Creative solutions engineer. Suggest ideas, filter feedback, and provide consistent execution across multiple channels.

· Understanding of basic game analytics and tools to review player KPI’s in order to assess player behavior and marketing performance.

Other Criteria

· 4+ years of experience in brand marketing, product management, project management, visual merchandising, or digital storefronts in an applicable industry (gaming, entertainment, consumer goods, etc.).

· BA / BS in Marketing, Advertising, Digital Marketing and / or Communications preferred.

· Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a strong plus.

· Knowledge of current trends in the gaming industry and related marketing trends.

· Strong organization, time management and scheduling skills.

· Strong oral and written communication skills.

· Experience with MMORPGs and familiarity with Daybreak Games IPs and franchises is a plus, whether for work or as a player!

· Google Analytics and CRM expertise a plus.

· MBA a plus, but not required.
