Brand Manager

Bungie is seeking a Brand Manager who is passionate about games, players, brands, and marketing. Reporting to the Destiny Principal Brand Manager, this role is responsible for supporting all global brand development of the Destiny Franchise at an industry-leading standard.
This position will collaborate with the Destiny Principal Brand Manager, Senior Marketing Manager, Product Management, Sales, Consumer Products, Bungie Creative Studios, and development team leads to support franchise success and grow the strength of the Destiny brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works 6 – 12 months out in close collaboration with the Destiny Principal Brand Manager, development leads, and publishing teams; helps Destiny Principal Brand Manager translate Destiny’s global franchise strategy into a brand vision
- Collaborates with Destiny Principal Brand Manager to develop and document Destiny’s marketing creative vision; provides Publishing with centralized documentation of unified creative themes and champions brand vision alignment
- Conduct consumer research and business data analysis to support development and marketing decisions; build relationships across the organization to supply them with key player and marketing insights
- Manage brand marketing approval processes across creative, business, legal, and accounting
- Ensure Destiny’s content delivers on the brand vision and player promise, with clear brand value; ensures supporting communications and promotional activities reinforce our brand value with input from the Destiny Principal Brand Manager
- Collaborates with Destiny Principal Brand Manager manage Destiny brand creative, goals, and timelines, ensuring alignment with brand vision and strategy. Makes certain that brand development meets all deadlines for GTM plans
- Manages rituals with Consumer Products and Publishing Business development to ensure key partners, agencies, vendors, consultants, and industry experts are identified and leveraged for brand validation, readiness, and co-marketing/branding opportunities
- Equipping Destiny’s Marketing Leads with Brand Marketing Framework and ensuring that they are invested in the brand vision and benefit from the creative partnership
- Works closely with Bungie Creative Studios to help Destiny Principal Brand Manager develop and maintain Destiny’s brand guide and toolkit, ensuring alignment with the brand vision
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Experience in a marketing role within gaming, entertainment, or consumer products
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in the field
- Ability to drive initiatives with a focus on KPI / ROI metrics
- Experience in project management, analysis, and the ability to work with multiple teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with development teams and publishing teams to collaborate and help shape successful brand design
- Experience working on a re-brand / new brand strategy. Including toolkits, training, and the maintenance of brand guides
- Excellent at collaborating with others, conveying your strong ideas loosely held
- Effective oral and written communication skills with an attention to detail
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Deep familiarity with Destiny and its online player communities is highly desired, as is experience with games as a service and MMOs
- Experience working on live service video games or similar direct-to-consumer entertainment media
- A passion for Bungie IP and knowledge of Destiny
- Experience at brand development agency
