Main Purpose of the Role

Support the Localization Project Manager in the delivery of the projects allocated to the Localization Live/Sustain team, within the timeline, quality and budget expected by EA, constantly looking at opportunities to improve the overall efficiency of the team and the relevant Franchise processes.

Key Duties

Localization Project Manager Assistants will contribute, in association with the Localization Project Manager to the overall smooth running and final timely delivery of all assigned projects, from early pre-production, to first party approval (Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony Computer Entertainment) and through post signoff.

Planning – Supports the Localization Project Manager in the scheduling of all the allocated projects, quote tracking, timelines and milestones initially agreed by the Localization Project Manager

Risk Management – Contributes to detecting, understanding, analysing, communicating, prioritizing and following until resolution the risks impacting allocated projects, informing and escalating trough the Localization Project Manager if necessary.

Communication – Contributes to facilitate the communication, internally or with studio, assisting the Localization Project Manager as main POC from/to Studio and in leading the correct information flows among the different departments.

CRM – In cooperation with the Localization Project Manager, responsible for creating a trustworthy and mature relationship with Studio at the project & franchise level, based on early engagement, clear communication, proactive conflict resolution, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement (post-mortem feedback, CSAT ratings…)

Finance – Supports the Localization Project Manager with the tracking and maintenance of the project’s budget within financial targets, providing cost transparency and anticipating cost variances and potential risks. A solid understanding of the financial implications on the decisions taken at a project level is expected.

Team Management – Contributes to the management of the testing team allocated to his/her projects. The Localization PM Assistant is expected to follow guidelines as instructed by the Localization Project Manager and take limited responsibility by clarifying their workload, mentoring as required and supporting the team allocated to the different titles during the road to signoff phase.

Supports the Localization Project Manager in managing geographically, organizationally and/or time dispersed teams to coordinate their work with respect to an overall project. Ensures team efforts are aligned and organized in a fashion that is effective regardless of where workers are located

Conflict management –Works with the Localization Project Manager to solve issues, and can differentiate between what can be solved vs. what needs to be escalated

Resourcing - in cooperation with the Localization Project Manager , contributes to team resourcing discussions and project meetings

Supports the Localization Project Manager , in the induction of newly allocated resources, and contributes to documenting department processes.

Quality management – Supports the Localization Project Manager in creating and maintaining a schedule that allows time for quality and polish. Ensure deliverables are based on quality and not simply task completion.
