Position Summary

MobilityWare is looking for dedicated, talented junior 2D Mobile Game Artist to join our Internship program in our Irvine studio this summer. We need exceptional individuals who are enthusiastic about what they do and are excited about learning and working in a dynamic and impactful environment. Our 2D Artist Intern will develop art, and animation for our Mobile games. Helping to define, visualize and communicate the exciting events and content to our players.

Ideal candidates will have a passion for technology, art, gaming, and game development who are eager to learn new experiences on the job. Additional traits include strong orientation to detail, solid time management skills and maturity. We are searching for creatives with a strong background in art, graphic design, and illustration, with an ability to receive and provide objective feedback.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a positive attitude are also important. This person will report to the project Art Director.

Responsibilities

• Work with the mobile game team and the Art Director to create IAMs (In-App Messages) that promotes our games, as well as events and sales in our games.
• Create art assets based on a Design Document, starting with rough sketches and incorporating feedback as the sketches progress to final art.
• Generate high quality visual contents used for our Jigsaw mobile game to delight our players.
• If possible, create animations to bring our in-game posters to life.
• If possible, implement assets into our established Unity project.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of general 2D illustration experience in school or production environment
• Strong Portfolio demonstration 2D artwork and illustrations
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or similar applications
• Animation, VFX and Unity knowledge a plus
