Outsource Manager

The Outsource Manager will be well-versed in project management methodologies, in addition to, ideally, having a background in Art. The individual in this role will interface with vendors on a wide variety of outsourcing needs, work closely with our internal leads and work with internal production to expand outsourcing efforts in the studio. The ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external teams to support the creative vision of the game is crucial.

Responsibilities
- Provide feedback via paint and sculpt-overs and facilitate approval of the technical and artistic quality of assets from external vendors
- Strong familiarity with character, weapon and environment pipelines and stages
- Collaborate with internal team to build asset lists, specification documents, and proxies
- Set up integration pipeline and integrate assets into the engine as needed
- Facilitate the flow of incoming and outgoing assets to the appropriate groups
- Provide technical support for internal tools and processes to external vendors
- Manage additional outsourcing artists
- Assist Producers in maximizing efficiencies, anticipating bottlenecks, and growing outsourcing pipeline
- Exhibit pragmatic long view to drive pipeline improvements
- Up to date with the latest industry trends, explores new tools, and makes necessary recommendations
Requirements
- 3 + years’ experience in production and working with internal and external production teams
- Well-versed in the latest artist workflows, tools, and pipelines
- Previous experience working with external vendors required including experience working with global time zone differences, different languages and cultures
- Experience directing external teams
- Possess a vast network of established vendor relationships
- Excellent communication, organized, strong time management, and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic, self-driven and comfortable taking initiative
- A desire to work in a diverse and inclusive environment
- Experience growing, managing and leading a team and providing growth and mentorship opportunities
Extra Credit
- Experience in Unreal Editor 4
- Art direction experience
- Strong knowledge in feedback and tracking software such as Autodesk Shotgun
