Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a full-time Art Manager for current and future games at our growing remote studio!

As an Art Manager, you will have a unique opportunity to help shape and foster the culture and collaboration within our art team. We are looking for an experienced art manager who will inspire a team of artists and work closely with the Art Director, operations team, and other disciplines to empower the team in creating stunning visual experiences that push the boundaries of what is possible in a multiplayer game.

We seek collaborative individuals who are excited to contribute innovative and original ideas across all aspects of the game's design & production, working together as a team.

Responsibilities

• Support and help manage the wider art team in their day-to-day tasks.
• Develop and mentor the team to enhance skills and performance, as well as work ethics.
• Help define career paths and development plans for individuals and the art department as a whole team.
• Work with the Art Director and art leads to help refine the art production process.
• Help foster good communication and team collaboration.
• Manage and oversee the communication between the internal team and outsourcing vendors.
• Work with production and leadership to manage project scope.
• Be actively involved with recruitment and the interview process for art team.

Qualifications

• Extensive background in any gamedev art production domain
• Substantial experience in people management, able to build, shape and evolve a team.
• Ability to evaluate and solve workflow inefficiencies.
• Experience mentoring and supporting artists.
• Excellent cross-departmental communication and documentation skills.
• Extremely strong interpersonal problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with and managing outsourcing vendors.
• Excited and able to work with an agile and flexible team and participate in major decisions.
• Readiness to work with integrity, honesty, and accountability, taking ownership of your actions and decisions.
• Capable of working independently, keeping on-task and motivated.
• Located in PT, MT, CT, ET time zone, or willing to relocate.

Bonus Qualifications

• Demonstrated understanding of game production and art processes across all art disciplines.
• Previous experience creating art in a production environment for video games.
• A passion for stylized games.
