We are seeking an Art Director to help build out a world class art team for new games and franchises within the mid-core landscape that include 3D worlds, engaging characters and employing leading edge technologies.

Responsibilities- Translate game concepts into fully realized games which bring our vision to life.
- Lead the marketing/graphic/art design teams in creative & visual aspects of game art production.
- Lead, manage a small team of artists while simultaneously producing as an individual contributor.
- Ensure quality, consistency and compliance of the art production throughout the production process.
- Communicate graphic themes of style and goals of a product to the team.
- Guide art design team in creative designs with references, comments, and positive feedback.
- Review graphic materials to assess their validity and appropriateness for our brand
- Rapidly generate conceptual ideas -- then change gears, slowing down to polish assets to release quality.
- Create a seamless gameplay experience for existing and new players using buttons, icons, widgets and other UI elements that represent the brand and the game’s established artistry.
- Create game assets; FX, animations and characters.
- Improve gameplay designs and user interactions by creating or improving wireframes, style guides and user flows.
Requirements
- YOU MUST HAVE 6+ years prior professional experience as a Lead Game artist.
- Credited on multiple shipped mobile titles from beginning concepts to end of the production cycle.
- Excellent conceptual and graphic design skills with a focus on clarity and usability and a proven track record of artistic adaptability.
- You take initiative and will help lead a creative vision, understanding that creating great experiences is a team effort.
- Expert level understanding of modern 3D character creation methods for mobile games.
- Expert level understanding of the Unity Game engine.
- Expert level UI/UX design and animation ability, as it pertains to games.
- Collaborative working style.
- Experience conducting rapid prototyping.
- Passion for games.
- Knowledge of UI design trends and best practices.
- Proficiency in user flow, graphic user interface and layout.
- A proven ability to not only solve problems in collaboration with the broader game team, but to take initiative with excellent follow through.
- An eye for quality and a high level of polish and execution, keeping current with gaming trends and styles.
- Strong leadership and excellent communication skills with the exceptional ability to give positive and constructive feedback.
Preferred- Deep level of understanding character driven pipelines within Unity.
