Wargaming Chicago-Baltimore is looking for an Animator/Rigger for its growing studio with over 150 employees. Our environment is a combination of casual creativity and functional productivity with an emphasis on fun games and solid engineering.

You will work closely with Game Designers, UX Designers, UI artists, and other team members to create a broad spectrum of purpose-built artwork.
Reports To
The Animator/Rigger will report to Lead Artist.
What will you do?
- Work with team to build rigs and vertex weight models.
- Create animations for characters and objects via keyframe and motion capture.
- Help prepare and participate in motion capture sessions.
- Collaborate with team to create animations for in game characters and objects.
- Proactively identify and fix bugs within our ever growing game systems and content.
- Optimize and polish animations and real-time physics in-engine tools.
- Work on dynamic interactive props as well as static environment objects.
- Work with departments to help create and evaluate new tools to help improve animation production.
What are we looking for?
- 3+ years of experience and understanding of techniques and technologies relating to character rigging and animation.
- Excellent understanding of human anatomy, structure, dynamics and character motion.
- Mastery of at least one of the following 3D packages 3ds Max or Maya.
- Experience working in the games industry as a character animator/rigger.
- Experience with game engine rigging and animation systems like Unity, Unreal or similar.
- Knowledge and competency with 3D software, scripting, modeling, animation, and rendering.
- Experience with creating custom support structures for character assets (ie, objects, ponytails, etc that can move independently from the normal body structure).
- One or more shipped game titles.
- Experience with multiple game engines, preferably Unity or Unreal.
- Proficient time and project management skills.
