- Outsourcing Animation Supervision: Manage and supervise animation work outsourced to external vendors, ensuring quality and consistency with our internal standards.
- Feedback and Improvement: Provide artistic and technical feedback to external vendors, ensuring all deliveries meet our quality standards and project requirements.
- Animation Production: Create high-quality character and environment animations that enhance the gameplay experience.
- Animation Ownership: Take responsibility for the animation pipeline, providing fresh and new initiatives on how to improve our current animation quality and work.
- Documentation: Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive guidelines and documentation to support the animation pipeline and improve the overall production process.
- Asset Management: Ensure that final animation assets are delivered flawlessly, organized properly, and integrated into our asset management tools efficiently.
- Rigging: Work closely with the project riggers to bring forward new initiatives around the character and prop rigs.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve animation-related issues, ensuring smooth gameplay and visual fidelity.
What We’re Looking For
- Animation Expertise: Very proficient in animation principles and techniques, with extensive experience using software such as Maya, Blender, or similar.
- Project Management: Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with the ability to create and maintain project schedules, track progress, and manage resources effectively.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate project requirements and feedback clearly.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with animation pipelines and workflows for mobile games, and an understanding of rigging and skinning processes.
- Attention to Detail: Highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Documentation: Capable of properly documenting processes and guidelines, as well as revising and fixing them.
- Asset integration: Familiarity with Unity for integrating animation files correctly and detecting and polishing any possible failure in the process.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with 3D Modeling and Texturing: Ability to create detailed 3D models and textures.
- Agile Methodologies: Familiar with Agile methodologies like Kanban boards or Gantt charts, as well as cloud services like Google Drive, Docs, and Slides
