As an Advanced Analyst - BI on The Sims™ 4, you’ll be handed the keys to our massive store of player behavioral and commercial data. You’ll be responsible for unearthing insights and producing forecasts that inform the development of our game. You will report to the Director of Analytics.
In this leadership-facing role, you will work with our Product Management, Commercial, Marketing, Finance, and Data Products teams, supporting the continued growth of The Sims™ 4. From engagement forecasting, to game health measurement and insights delivery, you will be the go-to resource for understanding where our business is, and where it is headed, and will have a significant influence on the world’s leading life simulation game.
Your colleagues will be a tight-knit studio of enthusiastic industry craftspeople. You’ll also join a network of hundreds of experienced analysts and data scientists at EA as a member of the embedded-and-dedicated Data and Analytics (DnA) team.

Key Responsibilities
- Business Intelligence and Game Health Measurement : Take ownership of business analysis for The Sims™ 4, querying large datasets to evaluate performance. Present to leadership, communicating data-driven insights that clarify the state of the business. Develop data visualizations in Looker.
- Engagement Forecasting: Own weekly active user (WAU) forecasting, using time-series forecasting and other predictive modeling methods to deliver accurate, granular predictions.
- Live Service Analysis: Benchmark and measure the impact of live service events, free content updates, and DLC launches.
- Marketing Analytics: Support EA’s Marketing Intelligence team in measuring the impact of Sims 4 marketing activities.
- Effect Change: Make product strategy recommendations and help accelerate Maxis’s continued transition to becoming a more data-informed development studio.
- Educate and Train: Teach users of varying data proficiency levels how to use dashboards and access data. Help those who are less familiar understand the right questions to ask. Encourage hypothesis-driven thinking.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience working as a data analyst on a digital product in a professional setting
- Advanced/expert proficiency querying large datasets with SQL;
- Experience with business analysis with examples of impact;
- Deep statistical knowledge including an understanding of probability, correlation, regression, and classification;
- Superb data storytelling skills, including ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical people;
- Prior experience with A/B and multivariate test analysis;
- Hands-on experience using Python or R for data analysis;
- A passion for Games;
BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $93,700 - $153,900 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
