Accounts Receivable Accountant

Job Description

1. Recording customer payments in appropriate accounts, including WHT payments reconciliation
2. Research unapplied cash, resolves payment discrepancies.
3. Billing for selected types of transactions (Intercompany and 3rd party)
4. Answering any queries external and internal stakeholders
5. Reconciling customer statements / accounts
6. Participating in month-end closing process
7. Collaborate effectively with Credit, Collections and Banking Team
8. Preparing reports and analysis
9. Assuring process compliance with corporate policies and regulatory guidelines
10. Optimization of Order to Cash processes through implementation and support of automation ideas.

Qualifications

1. Professional experience in the area of accounting / bookkeeping, including the knowledge of Order to Cash process University degree in Finance or Accounting
2. Very good command of spoken and written English Good knowledge of accounting systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle etc.)
3. General understanding of the output tax rules applicable worldwide
4. Good knowledge of MS Office Methodical approach to work with a strong focus on accuracy, attention to details, consistency and quality
5. Able to demonstrate excellent customer/client facing skills.
6. Strong problem solving and analytical skills; can clearly explain and present problems and issues to others and contribute to their resolution.
7. Ability to work in a team and under time pressure, obedience to company's policies.
