As the APAC Senior Compensation Consultant you will be the senior consultant for the AppLovin Compensation team in the APAC region, including both our corporate business and subsidiary teams throughout the region. As the Sr. Total Rewards Consultant, you will work with our global leadership and cross-functional partners to deliver competitive and analytically-driven compensation programs aligned with AppLovin’s compensation philosophy and values. You will consult with internal leaders and business partners to drive data-backed compensation decision-making.
The Impact You’ll Make:
- Act as a trusted partner to key stakeholders including HR Business Partners, Recruiting, Stock, Finance, and Executive Leadership.
- Collaborate and consult on the design and delivery of HR programs with the centers of excellence within the People team including Compensation & Benefits (Total Rewards), Operations, L&D, Diversity and TA to deliver effective solutions to the business.
- Deliver ad hoc compensation analysis including new job creation, current employees, and promotion requests by leveraging external benchmark data and internal peer equity while ensuring alignment to our compensation philosophy and operating model
- Build models and provide analytical support around salary, incentives (cash, equity), and executive compensation.
- Implement and maintain compensation resources (Confluence pages, training, communication) to support our compensation plans and initiatives.
- Assist with global compliance by ensuring local statutory requirements related to employee compensation are adhered to including pay transparency requests.
- Compile analytics for new and existing compensation policies and programs.
- Conduct benchmarking evaluations; collect and analyze salary information to ensure ranges and programs are market competitive.
- Assist in the planning and administration of AppLovin’s annual compensation review cycle; including working with Operations and HR to evaluate systems and tools automation.
- Assist in compensation ranges integration to Workday and implementation of the Advanced Compensation module functionality.
- Identify new C&B trends and implement new practices to engage and motivate employees
- Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of employee benefit programs
- Formulate and manage total rewards projects and ensure that all organization systems are updated
- Support change management and communication efforts associated with our compensation program.
Who You Are:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in global compensation administration.
- Solid understanding of compensation practices within the technology industry including best practices in China (specifically Beijing, Hangzhou, and Shanghai). Additional knowledge of Korea, Japan, and/or Singapore is a strong plus.
- In-depth knowledge of compensation terminology and fundamentals, including job matching, market pricing, and equity program design and execution.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a track record of developing and delivering clear compensation insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Organized with a proven ability to multi-task and set priorities within tight deadlines.
- Flexible and open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed timeframes.
- Advanced experience in Excel/Google Sheets.
- Experience with Workday Advanced Compensation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
