3D Environment Artist

Work to make environments beautiful, functional, and playable in a first person, Unreal Engine 4 based title.
- Create new 3D assets as needed to complete a Unreal Engine 4 game level, including mesh creation and materials.
- Modify and optimize existing assets when that is the quickest route to a good looking level.
- Import and set up assets in the engine and then work to place them optimally in the level.
- Make modifications to terrain/BSP in UE4 to improve the overall look and performance of the level.
- Work on lighting the level to match established visual targets.
- Work with an eye toward performance on a range of devices, profiling problem areas and reworking assets to consistently hit our target frame rate.
- Collaborate with our virtual team, including other artists, level designers, art lead, and project lead.
- Work independently to solve problems and get your work done, but know when to collaborate to complete tasks more efficiently.
- Correctly scope work and provide time estimates that you are able to hit to deliver key milestones.
- Work core hours in the North American Central time zone with the rest of our team.
