3D Animation Intern

Rooster Teeth Animation is looking for a 3D Animation Intern to become a part of our team. This position will animate and participate in key frame animation and motion capture animation for our studios team, while also assisting with research and development of rigs and other animation tools. While we are currently working from home, we would love the opportunity to get you into the studio to work side-by-side with our production team, so being local to Austin is a plus.
This internship will run for 20 weeks to allow completion of the project you'll be working on.
Responsibilities
- Work on 3D character animation for individual studio episodes, primarily responsible for QC and Animation Cycles in Maya
- R&D and prepare assets for Lead Animators
- Construct and clean up animation as instructed by leads
- Collaborate with the team to help improve overall animation quality
- Participate in Motion Capture shoots
- Follow established protocols in file management structure, project organization, and version control
- Learn how to achieve the quality and style of the show consistently through their work
- Communicate effectively and respectfully
Skills & Requirements
- Experience in Maya is a must - Blender or Unreal a plus
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Google Docs is also good
- Hard working, driven, and down to crack some jokes
- Ability to stay cool under criticism
- Love of video games, comics and all things geek/nerd culture is a bonus
- Good internet connection - Position is remote, living in Austin is a plus!
