Treyarch is looking for a talented 2D Artist/Animator to join our in-house team to deliver a large variety of dynamic content types for our games. A successful candidate will be an Artist who is skilled in digital illustration, motion design, and using generative AI tools. This is a critical role which focuses on developing visual designs using a blend of creative and technical skills.

What you’ll do...

• Create amazing 2D illustrations, backgrounds, and animations featuring characters, weapons, and equipment in a variety of exciting styles
• Polish 2D art made by humans and generative AI tools
• Work collaboratively with an onsite studio team while multi-tasking on a high volume of content under tight deadlines

To succeed you should have...

• Exceptional skills and expertise in digital sketching, drawing, and painting, as well as advanced expertise in working with generative AI tools such as Stable Diffusion, Vizcom, Dall-E, or equivalent
• A solid foundation in animation principles using a variety of animation packages
• An amazing attention to quality, color, visual storytelling, anatomy, graphic design, and motion
• An impressive creative portfolio demonstrating the ability to generate a variety of content types that use characters, weapons, environments in different styles to tell a visual story
• A team player personality, who is good at taking direction, works efficiently and has excellent communication skills
• The ability to self-manage and to identify and meet deadlines and goals.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, both creatively and technically
• High proficiency in the use of Adobe Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and other relevant design tools
• 5+ years’ experience in interactive media, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field

We’d love it if you also have...

• Experience working within the film or gaming industry, with exposure to tight-deadline production environments
• Experience with 3D packages like Maya and Blender, especially with lighting and rendering
• A college degree in Media/Interactive Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, or Industrial Design
• The capability to evangelize new work processes and innovations
