Firewalk is looking for Associate Director, Engineering, to manage and own major parts of the overall technical strategy of the game.
As an Associate Director, you will contribute with multiple engineering domains and guide the team to develop robust, scalable, and maintainable technology that will serve the needs of a live services multiplayer game. While collaborating with the studio Engineering Director, you will be responsible for guiding key engineering initiatives from conception to completion of features.
- You are passionate about developing engineering teams that foster a culture of incremental innovation, autonomy, and shared accountability.
- You are familiar and experienced in core game engine architectures, content workflows, networking, and backend technologies used commonly in multiplayer games.
- You are familiar with Unreal engine framework, build and asset management pipelines.
- You can take the most complex ideas, and distill them into simpler, step by step development plans that allow for iterative execution required to support live services games.
