Status: Full-time / Permanent / Benefits-Eligible
Location: Morrisville, NC office
Ubisoft, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking a full-time Esports Community Manager for its Community department. This individual will take part in implementing, executing, and reporting on our competitive communication strategy and tactics. The ideal candidate is passionate, engaging, organized, and skilled at moving multiple tasks to completion; they love gaming and are enthusiastic about community interaction, proficient in social media, and comfortable in all digital/online environments.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years experience in esports or entertainment
- 2-3 years in a professional community management or social media role
- Familiarity and understanding of the Esports community’s unique needs and vernacular
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to create quality documentation for internal and external audiences
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and services (such as Twitter, Reddit, Facebook, Discord, etc.)
- Gaming experience across multiple platforms and genres
- Available to work nights and weekends as needed based on live event coverage needs
- Able to travel regularly, including international destinations
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on and execute an Esports community-focused strategy and content campaign with an emphasis on existing programs
- Engaging with players, community leaders, and fans on social media
- Live broadcast/play day support and coverage, including proactive messaging and reporting
- Write/publish news and blog articles
- Build an identity and develop an active and engaged relationship with players in the competitive community, including a calendar of content, events, and activities designed to keep players engaged with the competitive programs
- Assess the competitive community’s pulse, understand community concerns, and communicate community status to internal development partners
- Coordinating communication and content activity, interfacing with internal production resources to produce assets required to support content deliverables
- Create daily, weekly, and monthly reports capturing a snapshot of overall community health. Report on areas of concern for the community, surface trending topics/issues, and share/contextualize engagement metrics
- Assist in building a direct to player communication experience with the community, including on-the-ground support during live events
