eCommerce – Sr Sales and Platform Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
As the Sr Sales and Platform Operations Manager for the BANDAI NAMCO Store, you will be responsible for developing the sales strategy for the eCommerce storefront to deliver Gross and Net revenue goals while also ensuring that the technical platforms and tools are in place and functioning efficiently to support it.
From driving pre-order strategies for our exclusive Limited Editions, merchandise and bundles, to developing cross-category promotions to maximize the life cycle of products, you’re highly motivated to achieve revenue goals and experienced with applying creative strategies to achieve them. With a demonstrated understanding of headless commerce platform operations, combined with experience in evaluating and managing internal and 3P service providers to ensure SLAs are established and maintained, you also know what it takes to make sure the back end technical platform is optimized to support the revenue goals too.
Flexible, Remote and Work From Home options are available for this position until approximately April 2022. Afterwards we expect all employee's to join us at our new offices in Irvine, California where a hybrid work schedule will be observed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for achieving gross revenue goals and managing discounts to achieve net revenue targets.
- Develops and maintains weekly, monthly and quarterly sales analysis and forecasting
- Prepares competitive market analyses as needed and recommends D2C pricing strategies for all exclusive SKUs, bundles and merchandise
- Manages product lifecycles for both exclusive and non-exclusive products to maximize net revenues
- Actively seeks and curates new revenue streams and channels such as product feeds and marketplaces
- Builds, optimizes and documents policy and process for all aspects of sales and platform operations
- Responsible for overall e-Commerce platform oversight, working collaboratively with internal and 3P support teams to ensure an efficient and cost-effective operation. From maximizing up-time during pre-order reveals, to ensuring fulfillment SLAs and costs are within budgeted guidelines this position is the point person for all finance, operations and technical support teams within the organization.
- Collaborates with Merchandise Planner to forecast and recommend purchasing strategies and build quantities to maximize ROI
- Collaborates with Digital Marketing to ensure merchandise and promotions are messaged effectively to fans and consumers
- Drives and/or supports company priority initiatives.
- Other special assignments as the business requires.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field
- 5-8 years relevant experience in the video games, entertainment industry or cross category online retail
- Excellent organization, project management and problem-solving skills, must be able to effectively manage cross-functional coordination across various groups and teams.
- Self-motivated, confident and with an ownership mindset to drive performance against established KPIs
- Passionate about gaming and BANDAI NAMCO brands, products and franchises.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate nuanced or complicated concepts and ideas to both peers and executives to gain trust and buy in from cross-functional teams, licensors and international teams.
- Experience working with an ERP system a plus and excellent capability using Microsoft Suite of programs.
- Existing relationships with established network of vendors
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible
- Knowledge and interest in gaming, anime, fashion trends and/or pop culture required
