Our Studio
Ubisoft Toronto was founded in 2010 and has contributed to many award-winning Ubisoft brands, including Assassin’s Creed®, Far Cry®, For Honor™ and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell®. In 2018, the team at Ubisoft Toronto developed its first new IP, Starlink: Battle for Atlas, and a new technology that seamlessly blends physical and digital gameplay. In 2020, Ubisoft Toronto led the development of the newest game in the Watch Dogs franchise – Watch Dogs: Legion. Ubisoft Toronto received praise for the tech and design work, for creating the first game you can play as anyone in an open world, and for its rich and detailed rendition of a future London. Workforce Services Coordinator
The main and routine tasks of the Workplace Services Coordinator are to:
- Oversee the tidiness, organization and upkeep of the studio, maintaining a high-quality overall appearance and aesthetic for the entire studio including but not limited to meeting room tidy-up, chair redistribution, storage organization and cleanliness;
- Tidy and organize more than 30 meeting rooms and the common spaces of the studio keeping the space neat, tidy, clean and in good working order;
- Organize and tidy studio equipment and storage space, holding assigned teams accountable for their use and treatment of the space;
- Work with the project teams to maintain the project team space appearance, tidiness and cleanliness;
- Distribute, collect and relocate studio equipment as requested by the project teams;
- Support employees through the operations service request platform;
- Identify areas for improvement in-studio appearance, including maintenance needs, and trigger repairs or other remedial actions;
- Coordinate with the housekeepers to maintain the cleanliness of workspaces, meeting rooms and common areas including fridge cleanouts, closet and cupboard organization;
- Develop systems and checklists to ensure cleaners are clear on their expected tasks and to ensure that equipment supply resources are tracked, distributed and collected in an organized and methodical way;
- Monitor washroom dispenser stock and refill them or have them refilled as necessary;
- Ensure new hire workstations are clean and in working order, collaborating with IT to ensure cabling and power are organized;
- Work with the Operations Coordinators to provide status updates to the studio on pending action items;
- Coordinate Vendor Services with contractors and suppliers such as waste management, janitorial, pest control, plants and floor mat maintenance, etc;
- Monitor vendor performance to ensure expected levels of services are met;
- Effectively communicate to the project teams about the progress and status of maintenance items, building repairs and studio upgrades to include new studio services;
- Providing general building services such as event setups/teardowns, installation of TVs and other electronics, assembling furniture, clearing washroom sinks and toilets, breaking down and recycling cardboard, etc.;
- Order and stock office supplies, maintaining highly organized supply stations;
- Manage the supply, tracking and collection of equipment assets such as fans, heaters, dehumidifiers, pallet jacks, dolly carts, food carts, rolling desks, dividers, whiteboards, etc.;
- Minor building maintenance such as patching and painting walls, caulking surfaces, repairing and replacing door hardware, tightening bolts on chairs and tables, tightening toilet seats, replacing lightbulbs, mopping up liquid spills, etc.;
- Research and identify areas of improvement and make recommendations to better the facilities
- Support Team Lead / Manager with safety compliance checks, Joint Health and Safety Committee mandates, and other ad-hoc duties as required;
- Carry out all other tasks.
Type of Position: Permanent, full-time.
What it takes to make it
- High school diploma or equivalent training and experience;
- Minimum 2 years experience in hotel or hospitality maintenance, upkeep, or equivalent;
- Must be mechanically inclined and have a basic understanding of and comfort working with a variety of equipment and tools such as power drills, screwdrivers, paintbrush and roller, sandpaper, etc;
- Must be familiar with high-traffic space cleaning methods and tools including wet mop and bucket, dry mop, broom, shop-vac’s as well as basic cleaning chemicals including floor degreaser, soap, disinfectant and sanitizer;
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted;
- Ability to work safely and comfortably at ladder heights;
- Passion for solving challenges demonstrated innovative thinking and problem-solving skill.
Nice to have
- Interior design knowledge, experience or training not required but considered an asset;
- Vocational, Technical or trades training is not required but considered an asset;
- Independence and resourcefulness;
- Self-starter;
- Organizational and planning skills with extreme attention to detail;
- Great interpersonal and communication skills;
- Customer service-oriented;
- Ability to work as part of a team.
