Web Content Intern

Rovio’s Comms & PR team exists to promote our company and corporate brand as well as to let the world know what we’re up to and what we are like as a company and corporate citizen. We drive creative initiatives that expose company products and projects to both internal and external audiences. We’re a fun, small team that also runs internal company communications, helps game teams with PR and earned media as well as supports other internal stakeholders with all their communications related needs.
We’re looking for a Web Content Intern to join the Comms & PR team. You will be working on both corporate and Angry Birds brand content and updates on our websites together with the Comms & PR team and other internal stakeholders. Familiarity with content management systems, user experience, graphic and web design and web analytics are welcome, as is a healthy appreciation for memes. The team is located in Finland and works flexibly both on site in Espoo and off site.
What your days will look like:
- Working with stakeholders from licensing and game teams on angrybirds.com content updates
- Assisting with the Comms & PR team on rovio.com content updates
- Collaborating on improvements to our sites, eg. in features, usability and content SEO
Who we think will do great in this role has:
- Strong understanding of web content as part of brand marketing
- Prior experience from a content management system for websites, eg. Wordpress
- Good understanding of web design and SEO
- Know the basics of web analytics
- Excellent team working skills
Recruitment process:
First meeting: You will meet the hiring manager. The aim is for us to know who you are, what your experience has been and what motivates you. This is also an opportunity for you to learn about Rovio, the wider team and the specifics of the role.
Second round: You will do an exercise to complete in your own time.
Final round: You will be invited to meet the team lead and team member(s). Our aim is to get a clear overview of your skills, how you would fit with our working culture, your ambitions and where we can help each other develop
