Your Mission

Activision Publishing is currently looking for a Web Tools Engineer to join the Mobile Team. We are looking for an individual who has a passion and proven track record for building and launching great games.

You will develop, modify and debug Web-based UI for development tooling projects and related systems. HTML, CSS, JavaScript and its connection and interaction with the backend services will be the main work responsibilities. You will be a direct part of a core team but collaborate with many teams across the globe.

Your goals and responsibilities include ensuring our web-based tools and the features they support are robust and functional at all times.

Improvements, refactoring and optimizations will be implemented by you with guidance from the Technical Director. Qualified candidates need to be self-starters, able to operate in a highly dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and iterate on web-based development tools for our live ops environment
• Responsible for performance and general quality of the Front-end tools, systems and connected features
• Connect with other departments within the team and Activision global community to improve existing tools and determine new solutions
• Participate in the scheduling, design, performance and code review process

Player Profile

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years programming experience in the Web front-end development space.
• An ability to operate within a large, constantly-evolving codebase
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, readable, portable, reliable, and optimized code
• Sophisticated understanding of web based UI content pipeline and tools
• Excellent communications skills
• Passion for video games, especially FPS games
• Experience with React/Redux and strong Javascript knowledge

Extra Points:

• Familiarity with C/C++ and common scripting languages
• Familiarity with Lua programming
• Experience with web-based frameworks other than React
• Experience with Python, Django or Celery
• Curiosity about UX design
