Web Developer - Full Stack Developer

Codemasters are excited to announce an opportunity for a Full Stack Web Developer, experienced in Microsoft .NET, to join the RaceNet team based in Southam. This is a key team-playing position and will take part in implementing the technical road-map, working on new projects and beyond. As well as mentors within, we have strong links and cross-pollination to the wider community of Codemasters software engineering excellence, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge in-house tech within a high profile and fast evolving Live Services department.
Reporting to our RaceNet team you will help develop and enhance RaceNet technology, external company websites and working on new features on the RaceNet website including analytics databases. You will work closely with the web designers and web developers as well as the code and database programmers and will have the opportunity to explore new development techniques and bring these into projects.
You will need:
- Experience & understanding of C# & the .NET framework (ASP.NET, MVC, .NET 4, .NET Core desirable)
- Web client user interface development with HTML5, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, Knockout etc. (React desirable)
- Experience using UI frameworks such as Bootstrap, Foundation, and Material-UI etc.
- Familiar with web service development with technologies such as WebAPI & WCF to create REST/SOAP
services - Appreciation for software craftsmanship, architecture and design patterns for writing flexible, robust and testable code
- Database design and development experience with SQL or NoSQL technologies
- Understanding of common security concerns associated with Web development
- Familiar with agile methodologies
- Experience with source control and working on projects as part of a team
It will be beneficial if you are/have:
- Familiar with Queuing technologies such as RabbitMQ
- Appreciation for UX design
- Understanding of browser compatibility and testing
- Mobile first / responsive design
- Familiar with automated build / deployment pipelines and writing build scripts in Powershell
- Experience with automated web testing
- Passionate about gaming and the industry
