Roles, Responsibilities & Experience: • The ability to work on own initiative within a busy environment • Very strong attention to detail - pixel perfection required! • Ability to produce clean, smart, cross-browser compatible code that can work across multiple devices • Strong knowledge of creating custom WordPress themes using Advanced Custom Fields and WooCommerce • An excellent understanding of current accessibility and usability guidelines • The ability to code designs supplied by our design studio, from flat design files, usually created with Photoshop • Willingness to work in a fast-paced working environment • Be able to design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and implement software code for website applications and email campaigns. • Works with internal/external graphic designers and other members of a project team to develop the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the website. • Write clean, efficient, performant, and secure code to build websites and applications. • Conducting research and keeping abreast of website and UI/UX trends and implementing into 505 sites • Understanding of website performance analytics and a desire to make 505 websites perform. • Creating timeframes and work schedules to meet deadlines.
Technical Competencies: • Experienced and comfortable with PHP, WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL and photoshop. • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular or Python framework • Strong front-end development experience with both single page applications and corporate sites. • Experience with AWS or Azure is a plus too. • Experience with wireframe and diagnostic tools.
• Experience with GitHub and version control • Experience with technical SEO.
