Warehouse Industrial Design Engineer

Summary

The successful candidate will be an effective engineering partner to the warehouse operations teams. The ideal candidate will design and maintain the most optimized warehouse layout, slotting plan and recommend the ideal material handling equipment to suit the products and volumes being handled in the warehouse.

What You'll Do

Job Requirements

  • Design the layout of the warehouse in AutoCad software, so the processes and inventory are arranged logically, are streamlined, productive, and cost-effective.
  • Improve order fulfillment rates by considering factors like easy of access, minimized travel time, and accurate picking and put away.
  • Design and maintain slotting plans. Drive periodic audits for slotting based on usage data. Update all PFEP data related to inventory storage.
  • Incorporate state-of-the-art features that include various types of pallet rack, shelving, conveyor, automation, different forklift types, VLMs/carousels, etc.
  • Process mapping and/or creating VSMs of current-state fulfillment processes and improved processes, implementing the changes and quantifying savings.
  • Selecting and implementing new warehouse management systems (WMS) in collaboration with the IT and Enterprise Applications teams.
  • Researching and staying up to date on the latest trends and innovations in the warehousing world.
  • Has a positive, can-do attitude, the ability to work independently and without direction and is eager to learn new things and be exposed to different industries.
  • Open to travel for short periods to other US based Aristocrat warehouse sites for focused projects as needed.

What We're Looking For

Qualif i cations

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering ( or Mechanical Engineering).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of directly applicable experience in warehousing operations improvement and design
  • MUST HAVE Microsoft Dynamics (D365) or any other WMS/ERP software experience .
  • MUST HAVE working knowledge of warehouse design, warehouse technology solutions, storage technologies, picking methodologies, ABC classification, and slotting.
  • Is highly proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft office
  • Has impressive communication skills and is comfortable presenting to all levels of leadership about logical, unbiased, analytical findings and recommendations
