Summary of Position
The Visual Designer is responsible for creating various design solutions for Nexon games and non-game related efforts. This includes creative and graphic design solutions for various platforms and environments, such as web, social media, multimedia, brand identity, print, merchandise, and exhibit design.
This role is a 6-month contracted position.
We are currently working in the office 2-3x a week in a hybrid work model.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the creation of design solutions, from concept to final design, in a wide range of graphic applications including: collateral materials, game-related designs, branded promotions, merchandise, logo and identity design, video titling, and advertising for print, web, and other mediums
- Collaborate with members of creative, game, marketing and other teams on the planning, development, and execution of a range of designs efforts including online advertising, web presence for game properties, print materials, and other deliverable assets
- Manage the print publications process including planning, creating concepts, final art, pre-press checks, and production; apply expertise in both 4-color press work and digital production; ensure design quality and standards are upheld; design and manage promotional merchandise efforts
- Maintain and develop the Corporate Asset Library, a data/graphic inventory system, including maintenance of templates and image archives; manages the internal system to ensure copyright clearances so that all images and designs can be used publicly without any claims of copyright infringement
- Maintain advanced working knowledge of all requisite design tools and provides this expertise on the team and to other teams (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
- Clearly communicate design rationales and specifications to other designers, developers, producers, etc.; make related presentations when necessary; mentor and guide teammates around standards for all brand-related efforts including logo mark usage, color palettes, typography, etc.; provide design consultations to other teams regarding brand-related efforts
- Other duties as assigned
Work Experience
- A minimum of 3-5 years of professional design experience, preferably in the game or entertainment industry
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred but not required, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge/Skills
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Graphic Design Proficiency: Comprehensive understanding of graphic design principles, including color theory, composition, and typography, to create visually compelling designs with a keen sensibility to aesthetics and seasonal trends
- Branding and Identity: Ability to develop and maintain consistent visual branding across various mediums, ensuring brand recognition and coherence
- Responsive Web Design: Ability to create mobile and responsive websites, considering UX and cross-browser compatibility
- Adobe Creative Suite: Proficiency in using design software such as Adobe photoshop, Illustrator to create and manipulate visual elements
- Illustration: Capability to create original illustrations or incorporate artwork into designs to enhance visual storytelling
- Experience with Jira (nice to have)

Compensation Description for Pay Transparency (annually)
The base salary range for this position in El Segundo, CA is $61,776 - $91,520 annually.
Our salary ranges are determined by market data based on position and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum salaries for that position. An individual’s pay is determined by factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experiences, relevant education or training, and location.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, however the salary range listed in this job posting reflects the base salary only.
