Activision Central Tech works to support our development studios and their titles. Comprised of seven main teams, we have many specialties including data, privacy and security, motion capture and animation pipeline technologies, graphics, build and infrastructure for studio development and data centers, optimization, systems programming and online services including matchmaking and networking. We are distributed globally with offices across the U.S., and in Canada, England, Ireland and Japan.
Most of our teams are comprised of both engineering and research talent, allowing us to always have an eye on the future. Our dedicated engineers help with title development and provide valuable collaboration between studios while our researchers make things happen and keep a strong connection with the needs of the game studios.

Your Mission
The Central Tech team is looking for a Release Engineer to help deliver the world’s premiere FPS franchise to millions of fans. We’re looking for someone who can bridge technical, business, and production subject areas to deliver the best user experience possible!
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Validated experience architecting, configuring, and administrating games on a major platform (PC experience preferred) (3 +years).
- PC platform experience.
- Experience packaging and shipping titles on Steam.
- Proficiency in Python, or a similar scripting language.
- Experience working with or in mature build pipelines and build infrastructure at scale.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving and analytic skills.
- Comfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical teams alike.
- Love of games!
Bonus Points:
- Experience handling content delivery networks.
- Experience writing PC installers.
- Background in C++ programming.
- Experience with mobile packaging and submissions.
- Experience in other areas of video game technology.
