POSITION SUMMARY
Visual storytelling is the core component of the Video Editor we are looking for. Being able to take gameplay or raw footage and transform it into a captivating and engaging story is key to the role. You will work on the Creative Services team in partnership with the Video Lead to create long and short form content, game trailers, dev diaries, and promotional content. You will be in charge of ensuring that our video deliverables are up to standard, as well as routing assets for approvals to both internal/external clients and first party publishers. We are looking to take our video content to the next level and are looking for an editor that can bring their style and experience to make that happen!
Flexible, Remote and Work From Home options are available for this position until approximately April 2022. Afterwards we expect all employee's to join us at our new offices in Irvine, California where a hybrid work schedule will be observed
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create long and short form video content, edit game trailers, cut down developer diaries, spice up promotional content and stylize sizzle reels
- Partner with the video team lead on project creation, concepting and planning
- Collaborate with the video team including motion graphics artists and designers
- Organize and keep video projects in a tidy and easy-to-handoff state
- QC and update video content to ensure it meets the standards for the ESRB, Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox, as well as internal benchmarks
- Manage and route videos to approvers, track and implement feedback
- Sound design, music bed creation and audio mastering
- Color grading, subtitling and project finishing
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ Years of experience working as an editor in entertainment industry
- Experience with the Adobe Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro
- Experience with digital asset management, video archiving and project management platforms
- Online portfolio/reel of past work
Additional Assets:
- Motion Graphics experience (Adobe After Effects)
- Game capture or game engine experience
- Live production experience, on location or set based video shoot experience
- Knowledge or experience with the video games industry.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in Film/Video/TV
- 3+ years in video game industry
