Position Summary:
We are looking for a product leader to join our card suite, which includes Solitaire, our flagship game which has been in the store 11 years and counting, as well as a variety of card and parlor games that continue to drive double digit-growth YOY. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned leader as these positions don’t open often. The VP of Games oversees a multi-functional team and is responsible for the overall performance of all the games within the card/parlor suite studio.
Even more importantly, the VP of games is the embodiment of our mission: “Bringing Joy to others one game at the time”. This person is focused on delivering great player experiences across new and existing games.
The most important traits for this position is passion for games and the desire to build and grow evergreen games through great player experiences and meaningful product features. While this person is a seasoned leader, their heart is in creating and delivering great games.
The right candidate is excited by the idea of creating evergreen games for a loyal audience and the ability to deliver outstanding experiences at scale. They want to lead by example and are not afraid of working in the trenches to design new games or do their own investigation or research. They have managed a meaningful size P&L and have experience with ad-supported games. They have created and launched games and have a proven track record of successful game launches.
This person will report to the Chief Product Officer and will be responsible for game strategy, product and production leadership, and business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Developing the multi-year strategy for the game suite including new games from inception to delivery to scale
- Owning the detailed strategy and roadmap for each game with each product owner
- Ensure the execution of roadmaps on quality and on time
- Lead the teams throughout all phases of development, launch and ongoing live support
- Improve overall processes and engagement across all stakeholders and specifically with marketing and adOPS
- Manage a talented team of product managers, designers, producers, data analysts, artists and product owners
- Be actively involved in game design, roadmap planning, and challenges product owners and producers
- Oversee daily business operations and improve the overall business outlook
- Create yearly forecast and budget for the games in the suite
- Own P&L for the products; execute against the forecast and budget

- Collaborating with leaders in marketing, monetization, and other disciplines to ensure optimal performance of games and execution of key strategies across portfolio
Qualifications for Position:
- 10+ years of experience creating B2C experience with 5+ years in mobile games
- Has launched and managed successful games, ideally with ad monetization
- Experience as GM or equivalent, owning P&L for game properties, ideally for P&L of over $50M/year.
- 5+ years of management experience
- A strong belief in a data-driven approach to decision making
- Outstanding integrity, ownership, and accountability
