Founded in 2016 by childhood friends and business partners Ryan Hogan and Derrick Smith, Hunt A Killer is a fast-growing entertainment company disrupting conventional storytelling by delivering immersive, interactive entertainment experiences to over 100,000 subscribers worldwide.
Hunt A Killer started as a single event that blended the concepts of escape rooms, interactive theater, and live entertainment by engaging participants in a 200-acre living crime scene. From that first foray into entertainment, we learned invaluable lessons, including how to truly immerse our audience in our experiences and the importance of learning from our audience. In October 2016, Hunt A Killer launched our flagship monthly subscription box to 56 subscribers. Hunt A Killer has continued to learn and grow, evolving its products and distribution model to double our business year-over-year. Today, we ship 150,000 episodic and complete mystery game boxes direct to consumers each month and sell purpose-built games through retail channels. ABOUT THE ROLE
Hunt A Killer is seeking an experienced E-Commerce Marketing leader to manage and own our direct-to-consumer channel. As the VP of E-Commerce Marketing, you will have P&L responsibilities and drive customer and revenue growth through marketing best practices focused on increased traffic, conversion rate optimization, retention, and product merchandising. You will have a strong understanding of the E-Commerce ecosystem including expert level experience in paid and organic customer acquisition strategies, customer retention, marketing technology, website user experience, and customer data & analytics. You will manage a team and must be passionate about mentoring and growing people and finding ways to improve the efficiencies of cross functional work.

- Define the optimal organization structure and hire and develop teammates that can contribute to our aggressive goals. Establish scorecards so that individuals know how they are performing. Manage accountability and support teammates so they can continue to grow and be successful.
- Deliver on a website experience that meets the customer expectations, articulates the brand vision, and optimizes for long term revenue and ROI. Ensure the user experience is always improving based on both qualitative and quantitative research and an on-going A/B testing practice.
- Own and deliver on the marketing acquisition budget. Drive growth that is both aggressive and disciplined, always seeking opportunities to lower customer acquisition costs.
- Partner with Finance and Analytics to create an informed sales forecast. Communicate the output of the forecast so that supply chain, operations, finance, and other impacted teams can react and plan.
- Provide supervision to the Director of Lifecycle Marketing and own the retention, community, email, SMS and lifecycle marketing strategies and tactics.
- Hire and develop great people. Ensure your team members can achieve success or remove roadblocks when they get in the way. Manage accountability and support teammates when needed.
- Ideate and lead promotional campaigns to provide sales moments and contribute to product sales. Create merchandise bundles and go-to-market strategies that excite our customer base and lead to increased revenue growth. Define pricing and promotional strategies and ensure consistent applications of those strategies.
- Develop strategies for the ever-changing e-commerce landscape and stay up to date on latest trends. Work with the development team to define and lead the implementation of website changes in support of your goals.
- Liaison with the product team to identify opportunities for increased revenue and unique offerings to grow Average Order Value.
- As part of the marketing leadership team contribute to the overall effectiveness and success of the marketing team.
- Oversee visual merchandising and website copy writing to improve customer conversion, sales, and retention. Coordinate the production of the product catalog working across the organization to obtain photos, descriptions and other information needed to create amazing product pages.

- 8+ years as a revenue and marketing leader who has experience growing direct to consumer brands.
- Strong track record of success in high growth E-Commerce businesses and in building high performing teams.
- Customer acquisition experience leveraging paid social marketing, digital display, podcast marketing, OTTV and other current paid channels.
- Experience forecasting and reporting E-Commerce KPIs such as revenue, margin, traffic, conversion, ROAS, AOV, LTV, CAC, etc.
- Strong business acumen as demonstrated by a history of building programs to capture, convert, and retain customers.
- Preferred experience with a subscription-based business model and retention ownership.
- Direct management experience with teams of 3 or more.
- Practical experience with A/B testing tools and analyzing results to determine best paths forward.
- Strong business acumen as demonstrated by a history of building programs to capture, convert, and retain customers.
- Experience service as a website or digital product "GM"/owner a plus.

- Knowledge of digital and e-commerce tools.
- Proven ability to identify, analyze and objectively problem solve with detailed follow through.
- Build rapport with various stakeholders within the company.
- Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Business, Communications, or Info Systems preferred).
