Overview
As Vice President, Studio Creative you will lead a creative culture, create new casual games, and lead a creative team of leaders. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Studios, you will work closely with the Vice President of Growth to collaborate on product, pipeline, branding, and positioning.
We are looking for an individual who is a strategic, innovative, and seasoned creative executive who has experience applying data to the creative process in order to drive results.What you'll do
- Product Strategy: Work with the team to refine both the near and long-term product strategy for BFG and support the management of the existing franchises and new product pipeline
- Data Driven: Evaluate game titles and new ideas using data and analytics to make decisions
- Product Design: Advance the thinking and execution in the design and development of new and existing games – conceptual, core, system, social, economy, and live operations design
- Leadership and Development: Hire, manage, coach, and grow a team of entry-level to experienced game designers with several direct Director level reports
- Player-Centric Design: Champion the customers’ unmet needs, intrinsic motivations and aspirations, emerging trends and innovations, and quality expectations; making sure this manifest in the final game experience
- Culture and Alignment: Foster innovation, excellence, inclusivity, and ownership by modeling those behaviors, working cross-team to align on shared vision and values, and bridging relationships for greatest results
What we're looking for
- Extensive experience as a leader of creative game development teams and as part of the executive management team
- Proven success in the ideation, development, and operation of casual games
- Extensive experience in F2P mobile casual games market, with literacy on both the product and business side
- Experience and aptitude using data, telemetry, KPI targets to guide product decisions
- Talent for managing creative teams: recruiting, coaching, and providing clear direction, while preserving individual autonomy and growing their impact/scope of responsibility
- Demonstrated eye for quality, a vocabulary for discussing product design, a knack for sensitive critiques of content vs. intent, and a deep well of ideas for narratives, features, visuals, simplifications, and mash-ups
- Able to create and apply frameworks to solve problems and bring the appropriate level of structure that will help improve the overall operational excellence of the organization
- Decisive but flexible; able to accept criticism, perform and adapt quickly in a creative, rapidly changing fast-paced environment
- Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the corporate mission
- Excellent written, verbal, visual, and presentation skills
