Vice President, People

Demiurge Studios is looking for an experienced Vice President, People to join our team as we enter into our next phase of growth and new game creation.
As a member of Demiurge’s Executive team and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, our Vice President, People will own the design and implementation of Demiurge’s People Team strategic roadmap; one that develops and retains our best-in-class team and supports a culture of diversity and inclusion. This includes developing and implementing people related programs including, but not limited to; talent acquisition, talent management, leadership development, business partnership, and rewards and recognition.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Demiurge’s People strategy and roadmap.
- Collaborate with and contribute as a trusted advisor and executive coach to senior leaders and managers to address organizational changes and challenges.
- Champion a culture of inclusivity and equity through DE&I initiatives, company policies, and programs.
- Work closely with the leadership team to ensure that Demiurge's org design best supports the achievement of company goals.
- Own and develop talent management, leadership development, business partnership, benefits and compensation programs.
- Lead Demiurge's workforce planning process.
- Continually improve Demiurge’s Employee Value Proposition to attract high quality talent.
- Oversee Demiurge's Talent Acquisition team and function.
- Collaborate with other members of the management team to achieve Demiurge’s business goals while nurturing the company’s culture.
- Evaluate current People team infrastructure and tools, implementing new tools and systems as needed to deliver desired results (HRIS, etc.)
- Develop insightful reports, metrics and analytics to keep all stakeholders informed and identify trends.
- Strategically build and drive relationships with vendors/agencies/partners, keeping a close eye on performance.
- Ensure all People policies, processes and practices are compliant with Federal, State and Local employment law.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of People Team leadership experience, preferably in the video game industry.
- 8+ years in leadership roles with direct reports.
- A successful track record in developing People strategies with transformative, positive results.
- Proven success building strong advisory/partnership relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion with previously demonstrated success leveraging strategic initiatives to build diverse teams.
- Experience partnering closely with an executive team and leading discussions on talent, organizational culture and people strategy.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- A sense of humor.
- Social intelligence, strong interpersonal skills, and empathy for teams with varied backgrounds.
- Excellent change management skills.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and change, yet able to set priorities and execute on commitments.
- While the sucessful candidate will only be required to be in the office 2-3 times per month, he/she must be located within commuting distance to Boston.
