Your Mission
This role will work with senior leadership and a variety of global stakeholders to shape messaging and ensure our people are informed, included and inspired. The VP, Internal & Cultural Communications reports to the Chief Communications Officer.
- Develop and lead Activision Blizzard’s internal communications and content strategy.
- Devise and implement all internal communication plans, calendars, content and collateral, including HR Comms, product announcements and updates, crisis and change management messaging and company All Hands.
- Design and launch full-funnel internal marketing campaigns that inspire employees to evangelize the company’s brand and core values
- Partner with leadership team/staff to bring company goals, values and vision to life internally
- Manage and provide strategic vision for the internal comms team, ensuring alignment and cohesion among written communications, installations and events.
- Team with Global Marketing & Communications colleagues to ensure consistency and alignment between internal and external messaging, activations and experiences
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and regional leads, define their communication requirements, and provide them with strategic advice and counsel
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff to ensure growth and future
Player Profile
This position requires high energy and a strong work ethic, outstanding communications and interpersonal skills and a deep knowledge of business and finance.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- At least 10 years of experience in a matrixed organization having partnered and/or led internal communications for a company undergoing transformation.
- Experience in change management
- Outstanding leadership skills and keen judgment with a history of developing world class teams and reputation for working well with a diverse group of colleagues
- Cultural sensitivity to work well with a diverse group of colleagues; effective at Board levels as well as with investors and advisers communicating a passion and absolute conviction in the company’s mission and for the business
- Entrepreneurial and a hands-on style with a strong bias for action and results while working effectively in an innovative, unstructured environment that values collaboration without ego. Operates at a high level of intensity, acting with a sense of urgency without sacrificing excellence
- Ability to synthesize and accurately disseminate information from across a variety of business areas
- Excellent verbal communicator, strong writer and storyteller who can distill complex concepts, craft a compelling narrative, and build an emotional connection.
- Personal presence, gravitas, great interpersonal skills demonstrated through working cross-functionally with key global stakeholders, partnering on communication requirements and providing them with strategic advice and counsel
- Excellent multi-tasking skills, able to set own priorities, and work under tight deadline pressure
