Job Description
We are looking for a Vice President of Developer and Creator Relations to lead our Developer Relations and Experience team. S/he will be responsible for building and leading a diverse team of engineers, evangelists and artists who will emphatically champion, engage with and support developers and creators around the world whom are creating for the Magic Leap platform.
The ideal candidate is extremely well connected and established within the real-time 3D graphics industries, preferably having been integral in building and growing successful, long term developer relations teams and objectives. The role reports to our Chief Content Officer and location is flexible, although being based at our HQ in Plantation, Florida is preferrable.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve strategies to increase engagement with 3rd party developers creating experiences for the Magic Leap platform
- Build, lead, mentor and inspire the team responsible for engaging and supporting developers creating experiences for the Magic Leap platform
- Be the unequivocal advocate and voice for developers within Magic Leap
- Lead evangelism, communication and support efforts between Magic Leap and the global developer community
Qualifications
- 12+ years evangelizing developer focused technologies and platforms and/or content production & publishing
- Proven track record of shipping products and/or ushering many development partners through new product and platform launches
- Deep professional network and track record in interactive entertainment and/or application development
- Strong technical background
- Passionate about helping developers
- Curiosity and empathy for creators
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Ability to thrive on a fast-paced team, juggling multiple projects and developers
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in a related field
