Vendor Management Analyst

Summary

What You'll Do

You are responsible for managing the relationships between their organization and its key technology vendors. You work to ensure that vendors deliver quality products and services on time and within budget, while also ensuring that the company is getting the best value possible.

You will also be tasked with developing and implementing vendor management policies and procedures. This might include creating guidelines for how vendors should interact with the company or what types of information they need to provide to do business with the company, partnering with Strategic Sourcing

You will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of relationships with key technology vendors such as Github, Atlassian, Unity, GCP, AWS. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of vendor performance, including but not limited to, service level agreements (SLAs), contract management, and vendor scorecards. In addition, you will work closely with the Procurement team on the negotiation of new and renewal contracts. You will also be responsible for maintaining vendor contact lists and profiles, as well as coordinating vendor onboarding and training.

What We're Looking For

Job Requirements:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned vendor accounts
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with vendors
• Understand each vendor’s products, services, and capabilities
• Negotiate pricing and contract terms with vendors in partnership with Strategic Sourcing
• Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations
• Resolve issues and disputes with vendors in a timely and efficient manner
• Escalate unresolved issues to senior management as needed
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to streamline vendor management
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all vendor contracts
• Prepare reports on vendor performance and spend
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
• Stay abreast of industry trends and developments

Qualifications:

To be set up for success there are a range of helpful qualifications, education, certificates we think are useful for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field
• 3-5 years experience in vendor management, procurement, or similar role
• Experience developing and managing vendor contracts
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience leading and managing a team of analysts

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• MBA or other advanced degree
• Certification in supply chain management or procurement
• 7-10 years’ experience in vendor management, procurement, or similar role
