VP of Technology - Hybrid

nDreams has grown to a multi-studio company with multiple development teams using and growing our technology, pipelines and infrastructure.

The VP of Technology is a key hire for us. Reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer, the role will also collaborate closely with the rest of the Executive Team, Heads of Studio, Technical Directors and the IT Infrastructure Architect.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct three distinct verticals within nDreams Central Technology Group:
  • Infrastructure & Live Operations
  • Core Technology (across multiple studios and teams)
  • nDreams R&D
• Coordinate the activities of Central Technology Group with Heads of Studio and Technical Directors to ensure alignment and maximise technology re-use and process efficiency.
• Collaborate with the CDO, Heads of Studios and Technical Directors to build the Central Technology Group organisational structure.
• Define and champion the nDreams technical roadmap and strategy to align with evolving business needs and objectives.
• Ensure that critical dependencies between Central Technology, Studios and Projects are met, setting appropriate goals and priorities.
• Evaluate and iterate nDreams technical pipelines, processes, infrastructure, and coding standards to deliver a future-proofed development environment.
• Coordinate R&D / prototyping prioritisation and overall accountability for the delivery of meaningful output
• Plan and Prioritise Central Technology projects and resources
• Track cost-benefit analysis of effort against given activities and provide an audit trail to support R&D tax claims and IP capitalisation of technology assets as they are developed
• Recruitment for the Central Technology Group and support of technical recruitment for the studios
• Central Technology Group appraisals and performance management
• Due diligence and evaluation of third-party software components
• Fiscal responsibility for the Central Technology Group
• Progress reporting to CDO and Executive Stakeholders
