The mobile gaming industry is competitive and certain roles require a great deal of technical expertise. Playtika is recruiting for a limited number of roles requiring unique skills and experience.
Playtika is looking to recruit a VP Privacy who is an expert privacy professional that would be responsible for the privacy and data protection for the Playtika group worldwide. This person would also act as the Data Protection Officer (DPO) under the European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for Playtika. The Privacy Officer will set strategy for privacy and data protection for Playtika worldwide, develop and revise privacy and data protection policies, work within a team to implement such policies, and monitor compliance and data practices internally to ensure the business and its functions comply with the applicable requirements under privacy laws and regulation in the territories Playtika provides its services.
To be successful in this role, the VP Privacy should have in-depth knowledge of worldwide privacy laws, with a special emphasis on GDPR, Israeli privacy laws and regulations and U.S privacy state laws such as CCPA and CPRA, robust knowledge of technological infrastructures and database systems. Responsibilities
In this role, you will work closely with the games studios, the compliance team, IT and information security functions to develop and monitor policies and standards applicable to the business and in compliance with the privacy laws. The VP Privacy will report to the SVP Deputy GC.
Duties will include:
- Providing legal consultation on a variety of privacy related questions under different legal privacy frameworks
- Implementing measures and a privacy governance framework to manage data use in compliance with the privacy laws, including developing templates for data collection, assisting with data mapping and vendor management reviews
- Serving as the primary point of contact and liaison for the Lead Supervisory Authority and other EEA data protection authorities on all data protection related matters under the GDPR, and similar bodies for privacy and data protection matters worldwide for Playtika
- Monitoring changes to local privacy laws and making recommendations to the legal and technological management
- Setting standards and reviewing policies and procedures globally that meet the requirements under the privacy laws applicable to Playtika and any localization requirements in countries of operation
- Developing and delivering privacy training to various business functions
- Developing strategies and initiatives to ensure engagement with key internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinating and conducting data privacy audits
Requirements
- Degree in law L.L.B (must) and any other degree in business or related field - Advantage
- Strong and vast legal experience and knowledge of data privacy and data protection regulations, especially GDPR, and a good understanding of other major privacy frameworks and evolving legislation worldwide, including CPRA
- Hold at least one data protection and/or privacy certification such as CIPP or CIPT - Preferred
- 7+ years in data protection, legal consultation or legal compliance within a legal team as an in-house privacy counsel or as part of a privacy department in a specialized law firm
- Experience in developing policy and compliance training
- Sufficient knowledge of information technology and data management systems required
- Experience working in a large, global organization
- Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills with strong proficiency in English and Hebrew
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion
- Knowledge of PC applications, including MS Office; familiarity with computer security systems
