Ultimately, you are an evangelist of change, always helping individuals, teams, and organizations be better.
What You'll Do
The VP, People & Culture will lead our overall people strategy, champion our culture, and lead the talent programs and processes needed to propel our business forward. Reporting to the CEO, you will play an active leadership role as part of the Leadership Team. You will be entrusted and accountable for the following:
Leadership and Coaching
- Be a trusted confidant and advisor to the CEO and senior leadership who believe that we're only as good as the people we have working here and that HR is fundamental to fueling our success
- Build out the capabilities, manage and mentor the People Function to implement activities related to talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement and well-being, learning and development, compensation, and benefits
Core Human Resources
- Implement new strategies for our Employee Ex-perience- from how they hear about Level Ex in the market through offboarding and becoming a supportive alumni
- Develop and oversee implementation of great compensation and benefits packages, and help us provide clarity, transparency, equity, and opportunity across the organization
Talent Acquisition, Management and Development
- Design and implement competency-based talent development programs to engage, motivate, and improve our people's performance, to unlock their potential, and help them grow in their careers
- Lead the talent management and development plans for the business with a focus on enhancing the quality of leaders and managers, building skills and capabilities of our growing team, and improving succession bench strength
- Enhance our global talent acquisition processes to continue to grow and improve.
Champion Company Culture
- Help enhance our culture. Combine the best of the video games industry's creative culture with the compassionate culture of medicine. Preserve and scale the best elements of our culture as the team grows and infrastructure scales
- Be an ambassador of our brand, culture, and mission- advocating for what makes us great and leading us through change to make us even better
- Be the advocate for and lead our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategies, partnering throughout the company and levels, to help attract, develop and retain underrepresented talent
- Employee Communications- improving how we, frequently, and authentically listen and inform our people about our strategy and progress towards achieving our mission
What You'll Bring

Experience You Have
- 8+ years of experience leading HR/People teams
- Experience in growth-stage tech companies
- Have and maintain knowledge of HR policies, programs, laws, issues, and cultural norms
- Master's Degree or equivalent experience
- Built and run a full HR organization
- Experience working with engineers and creatives
Bonus Points For
- Experience at a video game publisher or developer is a huge plus
- Passion and love for transforming healthcare
- Chicago area and able to come into the office 1-2 days a week
