VP Blockchain Technologies

The mobile gaming industry is competitive and certain roles require a great deal of technical expertise. Playtika is recruiting for a limited number of roles requiring unique skills and experience.

We are looking for a VP Blockchain Technology to guide our blockchain development teams and take full ownership of the blockchain infrastructure built for Playtika needs. You will report directly to our SVP of Web3 and work closely with our Blockchain Architect and Blockchain development team, as well as with other engineering teams and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that drive, improve, and transform new WEB3/Game Fi programs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing and specifying blockchain requirements and solutions
• Identifying new innovations and technology partners; researching; doing due diligence on potential partners/investments; performance testing; and providing technology selection and architectural guidance
• Providing the HLD per blockchain related project, and assisting with troubleshooting development issues
• Monitoring progress (from a technical standpoint) of the blockchain projects, including assisting in resolving any issues that might arise with the best solution
• Identifying and providing requirements for developer tools and then developing and integrating them
• Working cross-functionally with product, design and engineering team members to inform the overall roadmap and strategy
• Acting as the CTO of the project in external communications/speaking engagements

• Expert knowledge and background (4+ years) within the blockchain and Web3 space
• 9+ years of progressive responsibilities in software development, with 5+ years of experience in management
• Outstanding communication skills with the demonstrated ability to build trust and strong cross-functional relationships across the company
• Extensive experience with high-scale, high availability, distributed and client-server systems and architectures; gaming experience an advantage
• Previous, proven hands-on experience in coding high-scale, high-availability servers
• A passion for decentralized, peer-to-peer systems and web3 technologies
• Experience with smart contract development, full-stack decentralized application development or blockchain infrastructure and dev tooling
• Track record of successfully building and shipping web2 or web3 products at scale
• Experience working with databases; hands on experience with MySQL is highly desirable
• Extensive experience with Java or Python – Must
• Experience with Solidity – Must
• Experience working with Linux environments – Must
