Are You Up To The Challenge?
As a VFX artist you’ll be collaborating across our multi talented teams to craft and integrate diverse VFX and shaders into our games. Balancing creativity with technical prowess you’ll optimise these effects for smooth performance on mobile platforms. From spellbinding explosions to mesmerising elemental effects, your effects will enhance the gaming experience for our players.
Your Team Mates
With the stroke of their brushes, our game art teams bring vibrance and colours to the lights and clockwork of our Kwalee games. As creative doers, they not only offer look and feel, but they also use time and business constraints to solve aesthetical challenges unsolvable by clever design.
What Does The Job Actually Involve?
- Creating and implementing a wide variety of VFX for our mobile games
- Creating a wide variety of shaders and materials
- Optimising VFX and Shaders for smooth performance
- Working both independently and collaboratively with multiple small multi-disciplinary teams
Your Hard Skills
- Good knowledge in making Shaders using the Unity shader editor and VFX experience in Unity
- Experience creating VFX for 2 or more games.
- Have a good understanding of modern toolsets and techniques
- Comfortable working in a range of art styles (mostly stylised)
- Excellent communication skills
- Can innovate, iterate and establish good VFX processes
- Can combine technical skill with artistic intuition
- You are a problem solver who can drive innovation
- Has a passion for creating and playing games
