VFX Artist (M/NB/W) - Ubisoft Paris Mobile

Founded in 2013, Ubisoft Paris Mobile is a studio specialized in the development of mid-core mobile games.

Thanks to its first successes like Assassin's Creed Pirates, the studio still contributes to the influence of Ubisoft's brands today with the development of titles like Might & Magic: Chess Royale or The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, but also new licenses like Wild Arena Survivors. Other secret projects are yet to be announced and remain focused on gameplay, a key priority for Ubisoft Paris Mobile.

With 160 talents grouped in small and agile teams, the studio works daily to offer players new quality experiences on mobile.

Missions:

• Understand the artistic direction and overall creative vision in order to prioritize the visual effects;
• Create environmental & gameplay effects;
• Work within technical constraints to ensure that the effects are functional;
• Participate in the integration of your VFX into the game engine (Unity);
• Listen to the comments of the teams you collaborate with.

Qualifications

• You have experience in dynamics, modeling, lighting, image processing, ideally on mobile productions;
• You have extensive knowledge of game engine particle editors and tools (Unity, Unreal ...), texture and shader creation, and DCC 3D (Maya, 3DS Max, Houdini ...) ;
• Autonomous and organized, you have the experience to deliver time estimates for VFX deliverables, participating in the planning for the project’s visual effects.
• You have an interest in discovering and learning new software;
• You have excellent communication skills that allow you to collaborate with other departments and be a bridge between your areas of expertise to enrich gameplay, accessibility, and the player experience.
