Senior Motion Graphics Artist

What We Need:

Our Novato studio is looking for an experienced Senior Motion Design Artist to contribute to the next iteration of the award-winning NBA 2K franchise. In this role, you will work with a team of UI artists to create multiple visually stunningly animated 2D and 3D UI presentation experiences, transitions, and screen wipes.

What You Will Do:

• Using Maya to implement UI and motion graphics into the game engine. (it’s okay if you haven’t used Maya, so long as you can navigate other 3D software
• Turn loose sketch or static designs into a conceptual masterpiece
• Know how to offer and take constructive criticism. Ability to take direction well
• Interface with design and engineering to implement final art into the game engine

Nice to Have:

• Excellent communication verbal and written skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working with popular 3D animation apps.
• Comfortable working with Adobe Suite (.ai, .psd., maybe some aefx)
• Have a solid sense of color theory, composition, typography with current design trends
• Be willing to learn and assemble your work with proprietary game engine tools
• Must have a REEL showing some examples of principles of animation, easing, timing, secondary action etc.

Extra Credit – Not required at all but any one or more of these would help!

• Be Autonomous - A strong work ethic is essential – Our team is built on a support structure
• Knowledge of video editing, After Effects, and plugins
• Knowledge of any scripting language
• Game industry experience or using TestTrack Pro, Perforce, Shotgun
• Is an avid gamer. We make games and we also play them!
