At Teravision Games, we have a very talent-focused and value-driven culture. We are looking to provide the world a window into that culture and contribute in some way to making our industry more inclusive while ultimately creating the most healthy and happy environment for talent.

We are looking for a smart, passionate and eloquent User Research Intern to join our team and collaborate with us on our game Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game. You will work with the UX, QA, and Game Design teams in developing methodologies to understand better the human beings we want to engage with in our new game!

If this resonates with you, keep reading -- this may be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Who you are:

  • You are currently enrolled (and have a strong critical background) in Human Science studies. This means that you take seriously the implications of making assumptions when it comes to trying to explain any kind of human behavior.
  • You likely have a deep awareness of the vast capabilities of the brain -- and especially its limitations. You know the theory, and are looking for a place to put it into practice!
  • You have used and practiced the Scientific Method of research in academia, and you are curious how to use it in the outside world. This means that you understand how critical is to identify and mitigate biases and to create demonstrative evidence to prove a goal.
  • Your assertive communication skills with other human beings (in and out of the professional environment) are second nature and you see the value in it.
  • You are a creative and curious student who is always questioning things and wanting to conduct deeper research into the subjects you are most interested in.
  • Last but not least, you are passionate about video games and have enjoyed that inexplicable feeling of being immersed and engaged while playing -- all the while daydreaming about how both Science and Art made that possible!!

What can you learn with us:

At Teravision Games, we are deeply motivated to grow our industry and impact as many gamer souls as we can. Your internship will have the following goals:

  • To create a friendly and trustworthy environment for Usability Research, allowing you to understand how to gather meaningful information to make better games.
  • Using your academic knowledge (and with the support of the UX team), you will create or improve a set of professional methodologies that reflect a responsible way to test game hypotheses. You will discover how to best utilize these research methods, and understand the tools the UX team has created for this purpose.
  • To develop the necessary reports while also identifying the unnecessary data to be cleaned. By the end, you will know what information is relevant to give to the team and that adds real value to the development process.
  • To manage, feed, and maintain the databases of our game, following the most common practices in the industry. You will learn to shape them according to the necessities of the project.

It is not crucial, but it would rock if you also have:

  • Basic video editing skills to do some minor editing of basic videos that correspond to the kind of reports we need.
  • Good English proficiency to carry on basic conversations, and to be able to take notes from those conversations.
  • And of course, previous knowledge of real cases of testing or researching that you can share with us!

Note 1: You must attach a Cover Letter telling us why you are motivated to apply and what you expect to learn by making games with us.

Note 2: To apply, you need to live in Bogotá -Colombia.

Note 3: Available to start an internship in June 2022
