Job Description - Unity Tools Engineer
We are Mythical Games. A Venture-backed next-generation game technology company at the intersection of video games and economics led by industry veterans. Our goal is to lead the industry with the launch of exceptional video game experiences that leverage distributed ledger technology, while also providing a platform of robust tools that will allow any other game developers to do the same.
We are looking for a talented and driven Unity Tools Engineer, working with a small team to make significant contributions to our world class tools.
Required
- A passion for tools and desire to improve workflow however possible
- Demonstrable strong knowledge of Unity
- Deep expertise in some aspects of Unity development. 3D graphics, shaders, plug-ins, scripting, UI systems etc.
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, design patterns etc.)
- Able to create and iterate on custom UI
- Knowledge of performance optimization in Unity
- Good understanding of 3D graphics and rendering pipelines
- Self-driven: able to innovate, plan, and execute with autonomy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with artists and programmers, understanding differences in their respective development processes
Nice to have
- BS or greater, preferably in a science or engineering discipline
- Shipped at least one internal tool, content creation tooling would be a huge plus
- Experience of working on tools from concept to release
- Experience working on tools already released
- Experience with other game engines such as Unreal or Lumberyard
- Experience with backend API integration
