About the Position:
We are looking for someone familiar with Unity scripting with a focus on quality assurance and testing. You will be w orking embedded with the engineering team to ensure awareness of new features as they come online, and stability of existing features as the product continues to expand. You would testing both within builds as well as within the Unity dev environment. You would be expected to be able to write custom test scripts using the Unity Test Framework so some C# scripting knowledge is required. Your QA responsibilities include everything from functionality testing, to performance, device testing, and user accessibility. This position has opportunities to advance as we continue to expand our company we will either be building out an internal QA team further, or hiring on outsourced teams while maintaining an internal position that manages any outsourced QA relations in addition to its own QA work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update testing plans
- Smoke testing on a regular basis to provide reports on the status of the development
- Working directly with engineers to ensure quality and stability
- Testing PC and mobile controls
- Performance testing on devices
- Working with design on usability and accessibility
- Writing test and automation scripts within Unity
- Writing detailed bug reports with proper reproduction steps
- Oversee external testing operations
Desired Experience and Skills
- 3+ years professional video game experience
- A very strong attention to detail
- C# coding experience
- Experience writing complex Unit Tests
- Significant experience with Unity
- Experience with Git source control
- Has shipped one or more titles
It's a bonus if you have...
- Multiplayer game experience in any context
- Experience testing games with dynamic building or level editing components
- Direct experience with the Unity Test Framework
- Samples of completed Unity game projects you have directly contributed to
