Unity Backend Engineer
Wildlife Studios, one of the largest mobile gaming companies in the world, has opened its second independent game studio, SuperWow Games, in Austin, Texas; and Melbourne, Australia.
As a SuperWOW! Games Unity Backend Engineer, you will be part of the engineering team and be responsible for the development of backend systems and user tools in close partnership with the gameplay and Wildlife teams.
We're looking for a talented and passionate Software Engineer to join SuperWOW! Games. This is a remote working model, anywhere in Australia.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Implement backend systems and user tools, in close partnership with the gameplay team.
- Improve, debug, maintain, and optimize existing backend systems.
- Offer technical solutions to improve the code quality and performance of backend systems.
- Planning and task breakdown of systems which you will be responsible for.
- Ensure quality by developing features with the right combination of unit, acceptance and end-to-end tests.
- Improve and maintain existing CI pipelines using DevOps methodologies
Knowledge
- Previous experience working as a Backend Engineer
- Strong C# programming experience
- Strong knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
- End-to-End Test Automation with Unity
- CI/CD Pipelines
- Implementation of User Interfaces using Unity
- Game Tools in Unity
- Multiplayer experience is useful
- Golang experience is useful
Requirements
- Experience working in collaborative creative teams
- Experience working in a multi developer team
- Experience using source control tools such as Git
