Sumo Digital are delighted to announce the return of our paid Game Art/Animation Undergraduate Placement scheme for the academic year 2021/22

The scheme offers a fantastic opportunity for talented students to spend a year working as Artists on our live projects, a great chance to improve your skills on a real project. We highly value the contribution that exceptional, undergraduate talent bring to our studio, many of our placement students have returned to work for us permanently after graduation.

Sumo’s Art Placement scheme is open to Artists at any university who will be in their sandwich year. We’d love to hear from exceptional artists in a variety of areas – Environment, Lighting, Technical Art, VFX, Character and Animation.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a passion for video game art and should be working towards a 2:1 classification and above in their studies and should be able to provide an exceptional portfolio showcasing their digital and traditional art skills.
There are opportunities at our Sheffield studio. Please state clearly on your application the start and end dates required for your placement and the locations you may be otherwise interested in.
